I was always looking for a book to come to the point, but not to frighten the children of the Living Daylights by gunfire and ambulance runs, etc. This book takes the reader through a day in the life of a child with food allergies. It’s funny, and explains the child why it is important to have a “food detective” to ensure the safety of the product. I found it helpful that it explains why children with food allergies to a special snack to be sure it is allergen free. Simply put, it got to the point, said that food allergies, the person could ill, and ended with everyone is unique and children with food allergies are not funny just that they do on other things, to ensure that they remain healthy as any others have also. I recommend this book for the little ones

This review is from: Food Allergies and Me: ‘A Child (Paperback) / div> If you Food Allergy have children or teach pre-K or lower elementary grades, I recommend a copy of this in your library. It is the best book out there for the education of young children about food allergies.

My two children, 6 and 3, multiple food allergies. I found this book is simple language and scope of information to be perfect for my 3 year old who knows that he has food allergies, but still is not quite smart enough to avoid potentially dangerous situations.

The book was helpful to my 6-year-old veteran, because it is very important, rules reinforced: to never check on food labels and always Mum and Dad always tell an adult if you feel sick. Like other reviewers, I also appreciate how the boy allergies are just one aspect of his life. Each (Allergies or not) has something different about them.

last thing that I love that the book was written in first person. Very child friendly, and read like a true story. It resonated with my children, because it is a mirror image of her life with food allergies.

This review is from: Food Allergies and Me: ‘A Child (Paperback) / div> This is not a book could be better for your child food allergy . I read it on my 3-year-old at least twice a day. It makes food allergies seem like just another part of life … no big deal. I love this. I have had to be on the lookout for months and could not be happier with him for a book like this.

it not to go on and on about how “special” you are b / c you have food allergies. Jack, the boy in the book has it, he deals with them ….. he moves with his life. It is perfectly
